Liaison
2 French politicians receive a short visit from a representative who speaks Chinese.
This means in practice:
- 1 interpreter provides simultaneous whispered interpretation from Chinese into French (maximum of 2 languages).
- Possibility to have only 1 interpreter handling the meeting alone (only if it lasts less than 1 hour otherwise 2 interpreters will be necessary).
- No equipment required.
- No technician required.
Case 2
Whispered interpretation
15 German-speaking guests visit a factory for half a day. Discussions will be held in Dutch and German.
This means in practice:
- 2 whispering interpreters provide simultaneous interpretation from German to Dutch and vice versa.
- 2 interpreters can alternate in the assignment.
- 1 tour guide case with 20 headphones and 2 microphones is sufficient.
- Equipment can be delivered and collected on site by our transport service.
Case 3
Simultaneous interpretation in a booth
40 people (some French, some Dutch, the rest bilingual) attend a works council meeting in Zaventem. Discussions will be held in French and Dutch.
This means in practice:
- 2 interpreters working in a booth for simultaneous interpretation from Dutch into French and vice versa.
- 2 interpreters can alternate in the assignment.
- 1 booth equipped with 2 interpreters, 20 table microphones and 40 headphones is required.
- The equipment must be set up by a qualified technician before the meeting starts. He remains on site to ensure the meeting runs smoothly and to remove the equipment at the end of the meeting.
Case 4
Simultaneous interpretation in a booth with return
150 people (some speaking French, Dutch and English) attend a conference in Brussels. The lectures will be held in English, but the question-and-answer sessions will be held in French and/or in Dutch.
This means in practice:
- 4 interpreters in booths for simultaneous interpretation with return from English into French and Dutch. When a question is asked in French, feedback is given in English and Dutch. When a question is asked in Dutch, feedback is given in English and French.
- 4 interpreters can alternate in the assignment.
- 2 booths with 2 interpreters each, an infrared transmission system with 150 headphones and a sound system are required.
- The equipment must be set up by a qualified technician before the meeting starts. He remains on site to ensure the meeting runs smoothly and to remove the equipment at the end of the meeting.
